CHARGING STATION

Design and commission by BCR-Infinity Architects / St John’s College, Cambridge

Featured as a meeting place, the charging station is the stealthy xylem which brings electricity to portable communication devices. Rooted to the concrete floor, the charging station is the constant supplier of energy and power. It is a focal point for people to meet, gather, recharge and disperse. It is composed of 4mm steel sheet material forming triangular hollow sections, with an outer skin in satin black abrasion resistant coating.
